Write for NEMTrepreneur

Put what you know in front of the people who run NEMT.

NEMTrepreneur is read by owners, dispatchers and fleet managers at non-emergency medical transportation companies. If you have run the numbers, fixed the process or lived through the broker change, pitch it here.

How it works

Pitch first. Write second.

Send a headline and a short outline, not a finished article. An editor reads every pitch and replies within five business days.

  1. Pitch. Headline, three points you would make, and a link to something you have written.
  2. Yes, no or redirect. We accept it, pass, or suggest the sponsored track if it features your own product.
  3. Write. 800 to 1,500 words in a Google Doc, shared with us within three weeks.
  4. Edit and approve. We edit for clarity and house style and send it back for your OK.
  5. Publish. It goes live with your byline and we share it. Sponsored posts publish once payment clears or the fee is waived.

Contributor guidelines

What we publish, and how

Our readers run NEMT companies. They want something they can use on Monday: a number, a process, a mistake to avoid. Write for them.

What works

  • Your own numbers: cost per trip, deadhead, no-show rates, driver turnover
  • How you did something: broker credentialing, adding wheelchair vans, winning a facility contract
  • Lessons from a mistake, with what you changed
  • Clear explanations of rules, rates or billing, with sources linked

What we pass on

  • Product pitches in the editorial track (use the sponsored track)
  • Generic advice that could be about any industry
  • Attacks on named competitors, brokers or people
  • Anything published elsewhere first

Format

  • 800 to 1,500 words, in a shared Google Doc
  • Subheads every few paragraphs; short sentences
  • Link to sources for any statistic, rule or rate
  • A 40-word bio and a square headshot (sponsored posts can add a logo)

Links and labels

  • Editorial: one link to your site on your author page, marked nofollow
  • Sponsored: up to two links in the post, marked rel="sponsored", plus a Sponsored label and disclosure line
  • We add internal links to our own guides and tools where they help the reader

Privacy and accuracy

  • No patient names, trip details or any protected health information
  • You can use AI tools to help you write. The experience, numbers and claims must be yours, and you stand behind every fact
  • We may ask for a source or cut a claim we cannot check

Rights

  • You keep ownership. You give us a non-exclusive right to publish, edit for style and share the piece
  • You can republish it on your own site 30 days after it goes live, with a link back to the original
  • If you want a post taken down later, email us and we will review it

Questions

Is it really free to write for NEMTrepreneur?

Yes. Editorial contributor articles and Newswire items are free, and we do not accept payment for them. The $295 fee applies only to sponsored guest posts, where you can feature your own product or service.

What is the difference between editorial and sponsored?

Editorial articles teach something without selling, and our editors decide whether they run. Sponsored guest posts can promote your company, carry up to two links to your site, and are clearly labeled Sponsored. Both are edited to the same standard.

When do I pay for a sponsored post?

Only after we accept your pitch. You get a secure Stripe payment link with the acceptance email, and we schedule the post once payment clears. The first five accepted sponsored posts publish free as founding contributors.

What if you do not publish after I pay?

If we decide not to publish a sponsored post you have paid for, we refund the full fee.

Does a sponsored post affect rankings, reviews or directory placement?

No. Sponsored posts never change our software rankings, broker report cards, scores or directory order. Directory placement is sold separately and is labeled.

Can software vendors and brokers contribute?

Yes. Vendors, brokers, insurers and consultants are welcome in either track. If the piece features what you sell, it belongs in the sponsored track.

How long until my article is live?

Most accepted pieces publish within two to four weeks of receiving the draft, depending on edits and the editorial calendar.

Just have news?
