Ohio Medicaid members in a managed care plan can book rides through the plan: call the member services number on your plan ID card. Your county Job and Family Services office also runs a Medicaid transportation program. Ask early, since most programs want a few days' notice.
Say what you need: walk-on, wheelchair or stretcher. Ask if a driver waits during the appointment or comes back. Get the total price before you book, including wait time and mileage. Ask if drivers help door to door, not only curb to curb.
