Most Florida Medicaid members are in a Statewide Medicaid Managed Care plan that covers rides to covered appointments. Call the member services number on your plan ID card to book. Ask early, since plans usually want a few business days' notice.
Say what you need: walk-on, wheelchair or stretcher. Ask if a driver waits during the appointment or comes back. Get the total price before you book, including wait time and mileage. Ask if drivers help door to door, not only curb to curb.
