What is broker trip import?

Broker trip import is the automated flow of trip assignments from a broker's system into a provider's dispatch platform. Depending on the broker, it works through a direct API integration, scheduled file exchange, or portal scraping. Imported trips arrive with rider details, authorization numbers, addresses, times and level of service, and completed-trip data flows back the same way for billing.

Why trip import matters for NEMT

Manually re-typing broker trips into dispatch software is slow and error-prone, and address or time typos become late pickups and denied claims. Providers working with several brokers can spend hours a day on data entry without import. When evaluating software, ask specifically which brokers in your state it integrates with and whether completed-trip data flows back automatically, because that determines how fast you bill.
